First Day Screens
I'll post more info tomorrow, but for now here are some quick screenshots of my intro to Age of Conan. No action shots here, this is strictly social stuff for starters. =)

Creating my first character in Age of Conan, an Aquilonian Guardian ready for some polearm action.

Nelg and Narkis hang out in Tortage.

When Michelle said she was going to roleplay a flaming male Priest of Mitra, I was pretty sure she could pull it off, but she's doing it better than I imagined.
Narkis here would look perfectly at home at the PumpJack.

Our first encounter with a GM was an early one, just inside the gates of Tortage this 9foot monolith was standing.

Nelg cries, realizing already on his first day, that at level 10 he has no hope of ever matching the awesomeness of the 9ft GM.
I took some video too, also character-centric, but I'll upload that later.

Hello, I am a newcomer to your blog and it is great. I do have a question for you about AoC and your system. From the screenshots it looks like you have very high settings on. I am planning on building a relatively cheap gaming PC to run AoC, sub $500. I was curious what video card you use and the settings you are able to achieve that still provides playable frame rates. I am thinking about getting a 8800GT 512MB to tackle this beast. Thanks

It was actually really hard to make a non rough and tough mean looking guy in AoC. Took a long time to get Narkis where he is hehe.
I have an older machine, and im running on the default low settings and the game still looks amazing and sooo pretty =) I upgraded my video card to the 8800 GT, its a great card. Rog and Nelg are using the same card. I still got my old P4 3.0GHz with 2 gigs of RAM running Windows XP and the game is more then playable, i get a solid frame rate of at least 30.
Rog posts his specs in this post http://path.gameslate.com/content/post-your-specs
For sure if your in the vancouver area check out iLync for your PC. great guys, great service and great prices. (rog has a link in his post, im too lazy to look up the website =P )

I'm getting a fairly stable 40-50fps with my rig, with some peaks in a few spots and lows in a couple of others. I should also note my resolution is the same as the full size on these screenshots: 1280x1024, although I'm jealous of Nelg's 1680x1050 (24" widescreen) and his framerate is still close to mine.
My settings in game are 'High', I was even lazy and hit the high button, then just turned Bloom on. I'll tweak settings in detail after a few days, but for now it looks good.
I'll post some short video.
